AUTOMATIC SORTING
DP Gomma performs the automatic gasket-sorting service using the most modern and high-performance machines on the market.
Our quality control service is mainly aimed at the automotive sector (rubber gaskets), the pharmaceutical sector (silicone gaskets and similar) and the house sector (gaskets for household appliances and gas, water and home automation systems).
The ductility and precision of our automatic sorting machines allows us to work on any type of gasket or part in rubber, plastic and silicone.
HOW WE WORK:
After taking charge of the order, the technicians in the automatic sorting department carry out manual sampling of the order in order to assess its defectiveness and compare it with samples provided by customers.
This step makes it possible to obtain the most efficient setting of the machines and to estimate the amount of scrap that each individual job will generate in order to be able to compare with the customer before processing.
Only at this point does the automatic sorting of the seals actually begin, separating the ‘good parts’ from the rejects (defective products ) .
Once the quality control on the order is complete, it passes to the weighing department, which, thanks to high-precision scales, allows the Good, Reject percentages to be indicated on the bill so that the customer can easily consult them. This step is also important because it provides a further verification parameter in addition to that provided by the automatic sorting machines.
At the end of processing, our customers can choose whether to pick up the order at DP Gomma’s premises or use the ‘pick-up and delivery’ service. If the latter solution is chosen, the goods are handled by the logistics department, which will organise delivery in the shortest possible time.
A further service, which is becoming increasingly popular, is ‘PACKAGING’. Specialised operators work, either manually or with the aid of machinery, to pack the gaskets according to the quantities agreed with the customer in open, sealed bags, with or without shrink-wrap. Ad hoc ‘KIT ASSEMBLY’ services and/or plastic, rubber, metal couplings are also performed.

Profile checks such as burrs or missing part profiles

Checks for cracks and cuts not visible to the naked eye (provided they are not completely closed)

Thanks to the use of automatic equipment, we are able to process large orders in a very short time commesse di grandi dimensioni. Moreover, the margin for error, albeit minimal, due to the human factor, is further reduced.
After the job has been handled by the automatic trimming department, there is the possibility of having the rejects rechecked. This control can be carried out through the automatic machines or by passing the order to the manual sorting department where experienced workers re-check the parts one by one.
